Applications Open - Join the New Zealand Refugee Advisory Panel (NZRAP) 2025-2027

The New Zealand Refugee Advisory Panel is seeking new members for the 2025–2027 term. This is an opportunity to shape refugee policy, advise government agencies, and contribute to national and global discussions on refugee issues.
Who Should Apply? NZRAP welcomes applications from individuals who:

Have lived experience of forced displacement (e.g. held refugee status, sought asylum, or resettled in New Zealand).

Have leadership or community organising experience in a refugee-led or refugee-serving organisation.

Are engaged in refugee policy discussions and advocacy networks.

Can commit at least 10 hours per month for two years.

Have strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and discussions).

Bring expertise in areas such as gender, education, economic inclusion, protection, resettlement, research, or law and policy.

The role of the New Zealand Refugee Advisory Panel (NZRAP) is to provide people with lived experience of forced displacement in Aotearoa New Zealand, with an opportunity to participate in the development of refugee resettlement strategies and policies in an effective and meaningful manner. The NZRAP aims to ensure that the interests, perspectives, and knowledge of refugees inform and influence strategic direction and policies on national, regional, and international refugee issues.

The Centre for Asia Pacific Refugee Studies (CAPRS), University of Auckland, is inviting applications for its Non-Residential Fellowship (NRF) 2025.
This fellowship supports recent graduates in advancing research on displacement in the Asia-Pacific region.
Ideally, the aim is to support scholars with lived experience of forced displacement.
